Inspired Learning
At Lourdes Hill College, the curriculum is designed to inspire
curiosity, foster deep understanding and empower every
student to reach her potential. Central to this approach is the
Learning Futures Framework, a touchstone for high-quality
teaching across the College. Grounded in contemporary
research and aligned with the Australian Curriculum General
Capabilities, it equips students with the skills they need to
thrive as twenty-first-century learners.
We believe exceptional learning begins with exceptional teaching. Our educators create engaging,
supportive and future-focused learning environments where every girl is encouraged to think critically,
act creatively and embrace challenge. Across all three schools, our commitment to excellence ensures
every student is empowered to learn, lead and thrive - both at the College and into her future.
Junior School Curriculum
Our Junior School offers a collaborative, student-centred environment where young learners build strong
relationships, grow in confidence and develop creative thinking. Purposeful technology use supports
personalised learning, while movement breaks and hands-on, multi-sensory experiences help embed
knowledge deeply. The cyclical and interconnected Junior School Framework mirrors the natural flow of
learning, provides continuity with a core teacher, and draws on the Dimensions of Learning, aligned with
the Australian Curriculum. It gives students an inspiring introduction to learning at Lourdes Hill and
ensures a smooth transition into Middle School.
Middle School Curriculum
The Middle School Curriculum offers a three‑year learning journey designed specifically for young
adolescents. Students engage in a rich and balanced program that fosters deep understanding across
core subjects, including Religion, English, Mathematics, Science, History, and Physical Education. They
also have the opportunity to explore a wide range of creative and business electives offered by the
College. Our teachers are committed to delivering consistent, high‑quality learning experiences that
nurture strong, respectful teacher - student relationships. The Middle School Curriculum provides a
supportive and stimulating environment where each student feels known, valued, and empowered to
grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
Senior School Curriculum
The Senior School Curriculum provides students with rich, authentic learning experiences that prepare
them for life beyond Lourdes Hill. In Year 10, students engage in a broad range of elective subjects
designed to help them make informed and confident decisions for their Year 11 and 12 pathways.
Senior students may pursue an ATAR pathway for university entrance or a VET pathway that includes
traineeships and valuable industry experiences. Our Academic Mentoring Program offers personalised
one‑on‑one support, targeted university preparation, and comprehensive career education. Through this
program, every student is empowered to achieve her goals and transition confidently into her future.
