Student Care and Protection
Lourdes Hill College is committed to establishing an
environment where the mental, physical and emotional
welfare of students is protected. All members of the
community are expected to treat one another with respect
and courtesy, acting with a sense of purpose that aligns
with the Benedictine values of Lourdes Hill College.
The Child Protection Policy provides written processes
about the appropriate conduct of staff and students in
accordance with legislation applying in Queensland about
the care and protection of children.
A student who is being harmed or is at risk of harm (either
in or out of school), or who is concerned that another
student is in such a situation needs to report the situation
to an adult they trust (e.g. Teacher, House Pastoral Leader)
and/or the Student Protection Of昀椀cers. (e.g. College
Counsellors, Dean of Student Wellbeing, Principal, Senior
Deputy Principal - Head of School, Head of Senior School,
Deputy Principal - Students, Head of Middle School). Any
report of an action harmful to a student’s wellbeing will be
acted upon immediately.
