Parent Involvement
Parents are invited to become involved in the College
as their support is essential for the education of their
students and for the development and progress of the
College. Parents’ interest in education is re昀氀ected in the
students.
LHC Parents and Friends
P&F meetings are held ten times per year, in February,
March, April, May, June, August, September, October, and
November (AGM). In other months during Term time there
may be a P&F sponsored Proactive Parenting Seminar
scheduled. Issues vital to the total education of your
students, as well as plans for socials and fundraising
ventures, are discussed.
The aims of the LHC Parents & Friends are:

to assist in the development of the College
especially events such as Open Day
to maintain a liaison between students, parents and
staff
to involve parents in the educational program of the
school
to help in matters 昀椀nancial by the raising of funds
through the parent levy
The Parents & Friends is active in:
• consultation and discussion at (monthly) meetings
• participation in College Reviews
• facilitation of the sub-groups of the Parents &
Friends
• provision of social opportunities
• representation at Diocesan Parents & Friends
meetings
Meeting Times
Usually 昀椀rst Monday evening of the month at 7.00pm in
CiTEL (please check the College Calendar). Please come
along to meetings and ensure that the Parents & Friends is
truly representative of our parent body.
Social Events
The LHC Parents & Friends strives for parent connection
and networking. Social events take place during each year.
In all of these endeavours for the College, the support
of the whole school community ensures success of the
various events.
