Procedures for borrowing texts
ID Cards: A current student ID card serves as a Library Card
and a student is asked to present their card in order to
borrow print texts
Issuing: Students will be issued texts at the beginning of
the year, and as required throughout the year. They will be
provided with information to assist them to access and use
the texts.
Returning: All print texts are to be returned to the purple
bin or to Text Hire at the time they are due.
Identi昀椀cation: Our textbook system tracks information
about each print text title, including the student to
whom it has been issued. If a student does not return the
individually barcoded texts issued to them, replacement
charges will be incurred.
Each student must write their name on the bookplate
provided in the front of each print text, as soon as possible
after receiving their texts. This allows them to keep track
of the texts that are on loan to them.
Enquiries: Please contact Text Hire on 07 3399 0484 or
email texthire@lhc.qld.edu.au
College Uniform
Enrolment at the College implies acceptance of the
following uniform regulations:
• Students must wear formal Lourdes Hill College
uniform on all College occasions, unless otherwise
stated
• Non-uniform items are not permitted
• Uniforms must be kept neat and clean and shoes
must be polished at all times
• All articles must be clearly named
• College hats must be worn to and from school and
at any time students are in the sun, or whenever they
depart a building
• Hats must be kept in good condition, i.e. no damage
evident
• Students in Year 5 & 6 may wear their sports uniform
on the day they have their HPE lesson timetabled
College formal uniform, including hat, must be worn at all
times when travelling to and from the College. Students
are expected to bring their sport uniform to school in the
LHC duf昀氀e bag for Sport, co-curricular Drama and Dance
and can change accordingly.
Student Workbooks: Student workbooks are required in a
number of subjects across all year levels. Where these
are required, the College will purchase them in bulk at
discount prices and issue them to students in Term 1 along
with print texts. Unlike textbooks these are for individual
student use and are not returned to Text Hire. Some
workbooks may be used for more than one year. Do not
discard these workbooks until they are no longer required.
Student Equipment: Students will supply their own
stationery, writing instruments, drawing sets and
protective clothing used in special areas. General
resources and stationery equipment may be purchased
from the Uniform Shop.
