Library Hours
Monday to Thursday - 7.00am to 6.00pm
Friday - 7.00am to 4.00pm
The College Library provides a wide range of resources,
both physical and electronic, to assist students in their
learning journey. These resources are carefully selected
to support the curriculum and LHC Learning Futures
Framework. Orientation sessions at the start of the year
will assist students in their usage of the Library and its
resources.
The Library website (LibGuide) acts as a one-stop portal
providing access to online databases and selected online
resources, available at all times. It provides a wealth of
information to support effective and successful academic
research and to develop information literacy skills which
are essential for life-long learning.

On behalf of all parents and carers, the College Parents &
Friends has endorsed the operation of this scheme through
the College administration to be partly funded by the State
Government Textbook and Resource Allowance.
Membership of the Text Hire Scheme provides textbooks
and resources needed for each subject in the College,
offering you a cost effective and ef昀椀cient service, and
the best possible convenience and value. All parents/
caregivers are required to participate in the Text Hire
Scheme. Some textbooks are available in digital format
through an online digital textbook platform.
Text Hire Scheme Conditions
The following conditions apply to the use of print textbooks
and class set books provided as part of the scheme:
• All print texts provided under the scheme remain the
property of the College and must be returned by the
due date.
• Each student is responsible for the individually
barcoded texts issued in their name.
• Students are expected to keep their texts in good
condition.
• Students may be issued with texts that have been
previously used. Codes are used to monitor and
record the condition of texts.
• The Text Hire of昀椀ce or Library should be immediately
noti昀椀ed of any loss or damage.
• Parents/Caregivers will be charged for the
replacement cost of print texts that are damaged or

Online Textbooks
Many subjects also use online textbooks which can be
accessed through the digital resource platform ‘Box of
Books’. The link for Box of Books can be found on Student
Cafe or the Libguide. Through this platform, students can
access their textbooks and interactive resources online at
any time, whether at home or at school.
