Repairs and Maintenance
Students who experience hardware problems or who
need software installed (including printer drivers) or
updated should take their laptop to the Laptop Centre. If
an issue cannot be resolved immediately, the student will
need to leave their laptop for repair or maintenance. In
these cases, students will be issued with a loan laptop.
Repairs that result from accidental damage will require
the payment of an insurance excess charge. This charge
will be published each year in the schedule of fees for
each year level. Repairs that result from faulty hardware or
software will be repaired without charge - under warranty
agreement.
Students need to be aware that it is often not possible to
recover files from a failed drive. Students are responsible
for saving their files to Microsoft Onedrive and ensuring
the files are syncing to the Office 365 cloud.
Use of Network Facilities
Students should be aware that their email and stored
昀椀les can be examined.
• It is expected students will demonstrate that they
value themselves and other individuals and treat them
with respect and dignity when using College network
facilities.
• Students must respect all equipment provided for their
use. Any repairs or replacements that result from the
deliberate damage of equipment will be charged to the
student.
• Students are not permitted to make changes to any
shared computer without permission.
