Parking @ LHC:
Parents contribute positively to a culture of patience and
respect regarding parking on and around the College
campus, with student safety as the key priority. There is
limited street parking around the school (Brisbane City
Council restrictions apply).
The main parking arrangements which promote student
safety are as follows:
Before-school drop-off and after-school pick-up:
• Between 7.00am and 9.00am and between 2.30pm and
4.00pm, the College provides a safe place for Parents/
Caregivers and students for before and after school.
• Junior School students are to enter via Gate 3 and exit
via Gate 4 in the dedicated drop off zone.
• Middle and Senior School students can drop off in the
dedicated drop off zones, external to the College on
Virginia Avenue and Hawthorne Road.
• It is worth noting that many parents choose to dropoff/pick-up their students at the places they deem
to be less congested in the several side streets
approximately 50-100 metres away from the main
traf昀椀c precinct around the College.
Short-term parking for school business during the day:
• Parents/Caregivers are welcome to park in the visitor
parking spaces in the Drop-Off - Pick Up area off
Virginia Avenue, when they are on campus for schoolrelated business during the day or collecting students
who are unwell and need to be collected from Student
Reception between 9.00am - 2.30pm. Please note that
towing may be enforced for parking on campus outside
designated hours.
Student Accident Cover
The College provides a Personal Accident Insurance
Program to cover students. The Program protects
students against injury at school as well as after school
hours in certain circumstances. If you need to access
this cover for your student please contact our Business
Manager, Andrew Hines by calling 3399 8888.
Student Diary
At the beginning of each school year, your student will be
issued with a Student Diary. The information contained in
the front and rear sections of these diaries is important
for both students and parents and we encourage you to
familiarise yourself with this each year. If your student
loses or defaces their diary, a replacement can be
purchased from the Uniform Shop. It is expected that
students will carry their diary with them to each class.
Student Printing
Students are allocated $20 per semester for school related
printing in the College. If a student exceeds this amount
they can top up their account in the Laptop Centre.
Printing at home
If you wish to connect your device to a home printer, please
identify the model of the home printer and take your
device to the Laptop Center at the College where our staff
will carry out the installation. Alternatively, Parents/
Caregivers may contact the Laptop Centre.
Student pick-up after evening events:
• All student after hours pick up occurs in Drop-Off PickUp area off Virginia Avenue - entry is through Gate 3.
Participation in Co-curricular Activities
Students are expected to participate in the full life of the
College, both academic and Co-curricular (e.g. Spirituality
Days, House activities, Sports Carnivals).
Representing the College
Students representing the College must wear the
appropriate full College uniform for the occasion. This
includes sporting events.
PAX Centre - Sick Bay
Students who are feeling unwell during class must report
to Sick Bay after obtaining permission from the class
teacher. Students will spend a short period of time in Sick
Bay before parents are contacted, otherwise, students will
return to class. To ensure student safety, it is important
that this process is followed, we request the students do
not contact parents directly.
Sick Bay is located near the Student reception at the
Virginia Avenue entry to the College.
