Procedures to follow at LHC
Attendance
Of昀椀cial College hours are from 8.34am to 3.00pm. Students
are to be at school no later than 10 minutes prior (8.34am).
The College provides limited supervision before and after
these times. Parents/Caregivers are to make their own
arrangements relating to the whereabouts and transport
of their students, before and after of昀椀cial College hours.
General supervision before and after school is provided
from 8.15am to 8.30am and 3.00pm to 3.20pm.
Before School Supervision: No general supervision is
provided for students prior to 8.15am. Students can
access the College grounds before 8.15am for supervised
Curricular and Co-curricular activities at the designated
times and areas. Students can also access the Library
from 7.00am and will have supervision by Library staff.
Before and after school care is available at Sts Peter and
Paul’s Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) which is located
on the grounds of the Sts Peter and Paul’s School at
Bulimba.
After School Supervision: After school, general supervision
begins at 3.00pm and concludes at 3.20pm. This occurs at
the bus pick up areas on Hawthorne Road and Virginia Ave.
Students can access the College grounds after school for
supervised Curricular and Co-curricular activities at the
designated times. Students can also access the library
afterschool until 6.00pm Monday to Thursday and 4.00pm
on a Friday and will be supervised by library staff.
Absence from School
When a student is absent because of sickness or another
valid reason, Parents/Caregivers are requested to notify
the College via the App before 8.30am on the day of the
absence. Parents/Caregivers of students whose absence
is unexplained will receive an automated text message on
the day of absence asking them to contact the College.
Students who are absent from school are expected
to catch up on any work missed and to organise
an alternative time for assessments if this can be
accommodated (please refer to Page 8 for procedures to
follow).
Early Departure (Day to Day)
In order to leave the College during the day a student will
require a note in their diary from their Parents/Caregivers.
The Core Classroom Teacher will sign this and students
will show this to Student Reception staff prior to signing
out electronically.

Approved Leave
Parents/Caregivers are asked to submit a request for
‘leave’ (longer than 2 days) in writing to the relevant Deputy
Principal (Junior School, Middle School or Senior School)
well in advance to ensure that all assessment and learning
requirements are able to be met.
Lateness
In the case of lateness, students need to report directly
to Student Reception with a written explanation for the
lateness from the Parent/Caregiver. They will sign in
electronically. Their note/explanation must be presented to
the class teacher upon arrival to class. Repeated lateness
will be reviewed by the class teacher, Head of Junior
School and Dean of Student Wellbeing.
Cashless Tuckshop
Students cards will be linked to an individual, online
(MyMonitor) account into which Tuckshop funds will need
to be pre-paid, please see page 33 for further information.
Tuckshop orders can be placed online with payment
automatically deducted from the prepaid account. Orders
can be made for morning tea and lunch collection up to
9.00am on the day of pick-up and up to 31 days in advance.
Junior School tuckshop orders will be delivered to the
Junior School precinct at break times. All orders must be
online for Junior School students.
Classrooms
Classrooms are out of bounds before 8.37am, during
morning recess and lunchtime, except when a meeting
occurs with a teacher present.
Click & Collect Uniform Shop
Uniform and stationery items are available through ‘Click
& Collect’ services available to students every Monday,
Wednesday and Friday during Term time for further
information please see page 35.
General Behaviour
The behaviour of students at the College should be to show
respect for themselves and others, along with care and
consideration for the property of others.
College Bags
Years 5-6 students will use the College black backpack for
the journey to and from school. The College duf昀氀e bag can
be used when they require additional storage.
